Early Life and Career

Her performance earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. In 1963, Streisand released her debut album, "The Barbra Streisand Album." Streisand's follow-up albums, "The Second Barbra Streisand Album" (1963) and "People" (1964), were also successful.

Film Career

In 1968, Streisand made her film debut in the musical "Funny Girl." Her performance as Fanny Brice earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress. Streisand continued to star in a number of successful films, including "Hello, Dolly!" (1969), "A Star Is Born" (1976), and "The Prince of Tides" (1991).

Later Career

In the 1980s and 1990s, Streisand continued to release successful albums and star in films.
